INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING ON THE HOCKEY CANADA SITE AND SIGNING UP FOR A CLINIC

CHOOSING A CLINIC - HOCKEY CANADA REGISTRY (HCR)

Once you have paid all your fees there will be a link that will take you to a list of all CZRC clinics. Once you decide what clinic you want to attend, there will
be a link at the bottom of the list which will take you to the Hockey Canada Registry where you will actually register for the clinic you want to attend.
Remember the Level criteria set out in the instructions above.
The Central Zone (CZRC) has profiles to determine if you attend a 1 day or a 2 day clinic. They are:

One day clinics - you must be a level 3 or higher. If you are a level 2, you must be at least 18 as of Dec. 31, 2010 and are going into your 3rd year of officiating.
One day clinics run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is no ice session. Workbooks are not required. Bring a pen/pencil and a case book to class.
All one day clinics will indicate they are for level 2 - 3's. If you do not fit the profile, do not sign up for one of these clinics.
All Level 4 or 5's who are in the off year of attending a 4/5 are to attend a Level 2 - 3 clinic

Two day clinics - if you do not fit the one day profile, you must attend a two day clinic. Two day clinics run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both
days and you must attend both days. There will be an ice session on the Sunday. Your instructors will let you know on Saturday what time
your ice session is. Instructors will not drive students to the ice session. You must arrange a ride there and a ride to class after.
Bring a pen/pencil and your rule book/case book. Come prepared. This means read your rule book and open your workbook. For
the ice session you will need skates (no goalie skates), a helmet with at least a half visor and a whistle, if you have one. Dress on ice is
comfortable clothing.

HELPFUL TIPS TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE HCR CLINIC REGISTRATION SYSTEM

1) Go to the Clinics Schedule
if you have not already been redirected there after the payment process
2) Pick the clinic you want to attend and click on the "register now" icon. This takes you to the Hockey Calgary Registry (HCR)
3) If you are already a member of the HCR and have a username and password, enter it here (log in is on the right)
4) If you are already a member of the HCR but have not set up a user name and password, click on "create a new elearning account" located on the left
highlighted in blue
5) If you are not a member of the HCR, click on "create a new elearning account" located on the left highlighted in blue
6) If you chose either # 4 or # 5 above, you now have two choices - I am a member or I am not a member
7) If you are a member, you will need to know your HCR number to continue. Your community registrar should have this number. If you cannot remember it or
your community does not have a record of it, you can go to I am not a member and create your profile
8) If you know your HCR number, you fill in all other fields and create a username & password.
9) Once you are in via # 3, # 4, or # 5, please check your profile to ensure it is all up to date. Make changes where necessary (address, phone, etc).
10) Once you are in the system, you will be taken to the clinic you chose from the CZRC site.
11) Follow the sign up instructions. Once finished and confirmed, the next step is the e-learning module.
12) When the page says you have completed the sign up, click on the home button.
13) Everyone needs to complete the e-learning module prior to attending the clinic. At the conclusion of the module you need to print off the certificate and
bring it to your clinic. There is a link in the top left corner of the HCR which says "start a course" This is where you will find the module. You do not need to take the
course right away but it needs to be completed before your clinic. You can do a little at a time, save it and come back or do it all at once.

All Calgary clinics are being held at Mount Royal College and the room number is shown. Please note
where it says "new officials only", and "returning officials only" and make sure you pick the correct type of class. Please note your room
number. If you click on the link below it will take you to a map of the college that shows where the rooms are ("T" building 2nd floor).

www.mtroyal.ca/AboutMountRoyal/CampusesTours/CampusLocations/interior_map_level2.htm

Rural classroom locations will be posted on the web along with contact information of that communities coordinator. You still must
register for a clinic online. Your community coordinator may do that for you, but you cannot just call them and say you are attending. All
participants must register for a clinic online or have their community coordinator do it for them. There is no system for a group registration so
all registrations must be inputted separately.
